\"\"<\/b><\/i><\/u>Pickers flowers grew from a small seed of an idea in 2014 and has become a thriving business to meet the increased demand for locally grown, seasonal, British flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based in Moor Monkton near York, \u201cTeam Pickers\u201d supplies bunches, buckets or single stems of wedding and event flowers for florists, diy brides and flower arrangers or clubs.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a child growing up on a farm, I was surrounded by the abundance of the Yorkshire countryside and now share the magic and beauty of nature by selling my distinctive garden flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having studied Horticulture and Garden Design at Asham Bryan College<\/a>, York, it was not until I decided to grow some flowers for my son\u2019s wedding that my life changed. \u00a0This was the turning point and I decided to follow my dream of growing beautiful flowers for others to share and enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n

I joined Flowers From The Farm <\/a>(a network of British Flower Growers) which has enabled me to connect with other, like-minded flower growers and florists through a shared love and passion for flowers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beginning on a small scale, I have gradually acquired more plots within the village which has enabled me to grow a wide range of quality, freshly picked flowers for florists and brides.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span>The beautiful, historic location of Red House Estate<\/a> and Chapel which dates back to 1607, is now the back-bone of the business and planned workshops. \u00a0It is hoped to slowly develop the ancient borders and rose garden and begin cutting from them once again.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

An additional plot based at Summerfield Plant Nursery<\/a>. Upper Poppleton York, provides additional capacity for growing perennials and shrubs.<\/span><\/p>\n

I take inspiration from the land and hedgerows surrounding the estate. \u00a0Seasonal flowers, herbs, grasses, foliage and seed heads are specially selected and freshly picked for my customers to create natural, romantic, luxurious bridal flowers and spectacular arrangements for events.<\/span><\/p>\n

During recent years the provenance and sustainability of flowers bought in the UK has been questioned as over 90% of the flowers purchased are imported from abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pickers flowers aims to redress this situation by providing gorgeous, locally grown, seasonal flowers, fresh from the garden. \u00a0They are nurtured and grown with love and will bring beauty into your life and put a smile on your face.<\/span><\/p>\n
